How to work at a PMR radio

Filed Under (Technology) by on 21-01-2009

PMR radios are really simple to work and require very little training in order to use. Many cell phones can be extremely complicated to use because they have so many features.

PMR radios on the other hand are not as difficult to use, as they do not have as many features. The majority of PMR radios work on a push to speak and release to listen system. What this means is that in order to communicate with someone else on another radio you simply push the button to open communications on that frequency. By pushing the button your PMR radio will submit a message on that frequency and by releasing the button your radio will receive all messages on that frequency.

PMR radios often have a variety of frequencies that you can use. You have to make sure that you are on the same frequency as everyone else in order to communicate with them.

As you can see PMR two way radios are extremely simple to work and require no prior training. Anyone and everyone can use them because they are so straightforward.
